    This morning, you will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (including battery car). After lunch, you will continue to visit the Kuan Zhai Alley. Then proceed to Chunxi Road for free shopping. Then you will go to Shunxing Old Teahouse.

    You will enjoy the Sichuan Opera show such as face changing, fire spitting, lamp rolling, and folk performance while you taste famous Chengdu snacks and drink Gaiwan tea which is served in a set of cups.

    Then you will be driven to the railway station, and take an overnight train from Chengdu to Lhasa.

    You’ll pass through the natural protection area of the source of the Yangtse River, Yellow River, and Lantsang River. You will arrive at Naqu via the no-man area of north Tibet.

    You’ll arrive in Lhasa this afternoon. The guide and driver will welcome you warmly at the station in Tibetan style and present white Khata for you as a gift. Then you will be driven to a Tibetan culture themed hotel- Yak Hotel for a good rest for adjusting to the high altitude.

    Lhasa: Lhasa has an elevation of 3650 meters and sits at the center of the Tibet Plateau. With a history of more than 1300 years, Lhasa is always a life-time dream attracting those who want to explore its culture.

    This morning, you will visit Lhasa's landmark - Potala Palace. You will admire colorful wall planting, various halls, and numerous thangka. This afternoon, you will visit the Johkang Temple, which is the center of Tibetan Buddhism and built by princess Wencheng in Tang dynasty, 647 A.D. After that, you will start a circular pilgrim route along Barkhor Street. You can purchase traditional Tibetan and Nepalese artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, music instrument, and Thangkas there.

    Potala Palace: It is named after Mount Potalaka, the mythical abode of Chenresig or Avalokitesvara. The Potala Palace was the chief residence of the Dalai Lama until the 14th Dalai Lama fled to Dharamsala, India, during the 1959 Tibetan uprising. In 1994, the Potala Palace was declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.

    This morning, you'll go to Yamdork Lake via the Kambla (4794 m). Yamdork lake is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. The blue sky and clouds are reflected in Lake Yamdrok. Groups of cows and sheep are eating grass around it, just like a beautiful scroll painting.

    After you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Chengdu.

    This morning, you will visit the Huanglongxi Ancient Town, which has more than 1,700 years of history and has the reputation of the hometown of the "fiery dragon". Local people string lanterns together, just like a Chinese dragon. There are many old buildings such as old folk houses, old temples, ancient battlefield, and Diaojiaolou (wooden house projecting over the water), most of which were built in Ming and Qing Dynasties.

    You can also taste famous traditional snacks such as Longevity Noodles. After, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
